It’s the start of Season 6 (OK, so Brian kind of unilaterally declared it to be Season 6). Galen’s back from a week in Germany, Brian’s back from a week in Vermont. They talk about German beer and what the tailgating parties for an NFL team in Vermont would be like.

The boys talk about the ongoing Jemele Hill story and the representation of Latinos in the media. They also break down the best cure for a chest cold, 1980s movie sequels, the difference between a cheeseburger and a cheeseburger sub, and their favorite breakfast cereals. S5 E7: Swedes are Good at Everything

The Flip Side’s intermittent summer schedule continues, but this is a good one.

Brian’s wife has recently started listening to Ryan Adams, and this has Galen super excited. They talk about Ryan’s long discography and the best ways to get into an established artist without being too Rob Gordon about it.

The band is back together, and trying some new things. This episode streamed live, but Brian’s computer was temperamental, which led to all sorts of technical shenanigans at the start.
